LOVING VINCENT is to be the world's first ever fully painted feature film, created by Breakthru Films, an Oscar-winning studio. Being a film created by the hands of artists, the storyline itself looks to follow none other than Vincent Van Gogh, a quite appropriate topic.
This will be the first ever full length documentation on the life of Van Gogh, and as the film is a motion picture, it's going to be a sight to any art fans - letting you see his paintings move and come to life. Every shot is created of a different oil painting, which means over 56,000 different paintings will need to be completed to fill the full length of the film's running time.
So far, 100 artists have taken part in creating the film directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, who have all been trained in the same painting style.
