Yep, you've guessed it, exam season is upon us once again. If you're like me, an extreme procrastinator who ends up in the corner of their room in the dark thinking of anything to do instead of revise, then listen up.
Some like to revise in total silence but personally I prefer to have at least something playing in the background to help me focus (and to help calm me down as this revision stuff is stressful). But as someone who has the attention of a goldfish, I've taken a break from 'revising' to tell you three of my favourite albums that I spin while attempting to get work done.

Swim Deep//Where The Heaven Are We
B-Town band Swim Deep are first on the list. Their debut album Where The Heaven Are We, released in 2013, was an instant go-to album. With dreamy vocals and riffs to die for, it's an LP that's so chill - almost as if it was effortless to create. Often described as "psychedelic", it's perfect to play in the background while revising. With songs such as classic 'Honey' with irresistible guitar riffs, to 'Francisco' with its washed-out dreamy keys; there's something oddly calming about the way the band sounds. With pretty perfect melodies, listening to these guys could actually make you get lost into your work. Now wouldn't that be nice?

The 1975//I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It
A band I consider the Marmite of music, you either love them or hate them. Obviously if you hate them, I wouldn't recommenced revising to this, as it may make you more frustrated than you were before. However, if you like them then I think their second album, ludicrously titled I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, released earlier this year, is actually quite perfect for revising. Songs such as 'Paris', which has an almost psychedelic backing to it, and acoustic tracks 'Nana' and 'She Lay's Down', as long as you don't get too lost into what frontman Matthew Healy is saying, are calming and easy to listen to which is perfect for revision.
Plus if you ever get really pissed with work then just stick on upbeat, catchy numbers 'Love Me' or 'She's American' for a quick pick me up.

Foals//Holy Fire
Oxford originated Foals are the final band to make this list with their third album Holy Fire. Released back in 2013, this is a full-length for the more energetic student who needs their music to burst out of the speakers to revise. With songs such as 'Inhaler', which slowly builds into a massive drop of distorted guitars, or 'Bad Habit', with its high-pitched fretwork which is strangely soothing, the range on this album is unbelievable. Along with this and frontman Yannis' pretty perfect vocals, this band could help you become glued to your notes... if not you could always have a solo mosh pit to 'Providence', that's fun too.
